I've found trolling 2 rods can lead to serious tangles even if just 1 rod gets hit. Just the way a yak moves when you set the hook on a bigger fish tends to spin you in to the other line. When I'm trolling 1 line I have a jig stick within easy reach. Mike

Dropper loops will only get you nasty bycatch like Halibut, YT and WSB. So try to avoid that at all cost.
