Where do these foam blocks go? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I was told by my dealer that Hobie started putting the foam in the kayaks after a guy sank his kayak. The foam is for safety. If your kayak gets flooded inside, it will float because of the foam. Happened to me offshore. Stayed with the kayak and drifted ashore....I am glad that I did not remove the foam from my kayak.

Thats good info...I will find a place to jamb them back in.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get some more foam blocks are strategically place them around the hull for both buoyancy and strength.
