If you go out from the launch you paddle right by the bait receiver, pretty handy. The areas around Oside are most flat with little structure. Yt roam around but they don't have structure to hold on. The nearest structure is the artificial reefs a few miles out. Look up the actual lat long or direction from the harbor. There's a pipe line that runs out from buccaneer beach south of the pier. It can get pretty good. If you head north its a fairly long way to the golf ball, LCAC hanger, and the kelp beds. I dont usually say this but look for other boats and troll a bait where ever you go.
