LJ the past couple weeks

Been taking major advantage of the awesome year we've been having the last few weeks.

Like everyone, bait has been wacky. One day you're loading up quick; Other days you're scrambling questioning your own ability as an angler. Give it time and you'll find them is what I keep replaying in my head. One day I'm finding them under the bait balls and others I'm finding them on the edges. #8 10/15 sabiki w/ mylar has been doing it for me.

Fishing has been pretty steady averaging a fish or two a trip. Majority of my fish have been in that 100'-120' zone on a faster paddle with a bait set back 25-50 yds

65#/40# Seaguar
5/0 94150

Most fish have been in the 20# class with one in the 30# bracket. Apologize for the pic heavy post. I always enjoy helping others and hope this intel helps anyone for future trips! This is a year we need to enjoy the opportunity and share the wealth with others! It may not be this good in the future.

Here's a few shots from the batch and a video of one of them. Man the feeling we all share is priceless. Nothing like a sleigh ride!!! I love it!

Fish on guys!

Awesome. I never get tired of watching videos and pictures of Yellows being landed. The only thing better is Landing them yourself. Congrats Matt.

Another!

Matt...thanks for another great report! The Kayak fishing has indeed been great this year and hopefully continues. However, I must split some of my time surf-fishing to keep the kid happy as well. Oddly, the surf fishing has not been as good as prior years. Where are the Perch and Corbina? Anyway, I'm trying to get him to warm-up to some kayak fishing so hopefully we can totally leave the busy beaches behind for the big game!

Thanks guys. Lately I've been out 2 days a week. If you happen to see me, say hello. Always cool chatting it up with people that share the same goal.

Geno, I was the guy who watched your yak on the beach when you made your first LJ run. Not sure if you remember me.

Thanks guys. It's all about sharing and growing the sport. I've worked in the tackle industry for 10+ years and have fished my whole life. On the freshwater front, I see anglers keeping their secret and creating their inner circles I've always believed that f we want our sport to head in the right direction with etiquette and class, it's all about sharing the wealth and keeping the sport fun. Teaching others and helping in the tackle shop is what I've always been about.

Fish on guys. We all need to take advantage of this WICKED fishing year!
