Learning what not to do has made me a much better fisherman. Now if I can just learn what to do! Nice pair. Generally, the length of that size fish with the mouth closed is going to be about 1/4" to 1/2" longer than the front of the top lip. When you get into the really big ones, they can have a big lower lip protrusion.
