There is no one sure fire bait to use everytime, just like any other fish out there you will see that at times they do show a preference for one over the other. The best bait is gonna be what you have on hand at the time and if you have a variety of baits don't be afraid to experiment. Once you find out what they prefer, use that to your advantage.

A sure way to learn how to halibut fish.
1. PM Tony, George, or Greg. (Not Jim) 2. Introduce yourself. 3. Ask if you can join them on the next fishing trip. (Offer to buy lunch) 4. Ask a million questions, listen and copy their rigs. 5. Fish very close to Greg, if you can tangle his line once or twice you are close enough. He does not mind, he is nice. 6. Do not fish too close to Tony, he will try to touch you. (felony type of touching) Ask them about BusyBee. |
