What size bolt for Lowrance transducer mount on Malibu Stealth 12?

Googled and nothing came up. Installing a Lowrance Mark 4 on my '14 Malibu Stealth 12 and realized I don't have the bolts to mount the transducer into the "Lowrance ready" slot.

Can anyone tell me what size I need so I can make a quick run to the hardware store?

Not sure on the size, but if you have a tap set I would thread one in and buy some bolts accordingly. If no tap set, maybe purchase a cheap misc bolt set. I have a couple different sized hardware sets that have really helped In a bind. Last solution I would try is calling Malibu kayaks.

Here is a link to what Malibu says the size is (10-32 by 1/2" long)

That being said I had the same issue as you and am almost positive this is accurate and it is a 10-32 x 1/2" bolt. I'm glad you didn't try to cram the screws that come with the fish finder into the nuts on the kayak (seen that one before )

PS - get stainless bolts

Thanks a lot, just what I was looking for. I left a message for someone at Malibu Kayaks and hadn't heard back yet.

Haha, at first I thought that was what the screws that came with the fish finder bracket was for. As soon as I matched them up to the nuts in the kayak, I could see that the thread was wrong so I'm really glad I didn't just start jamming them in there without looking.

If you want to be on the safe side buy a 8-32 x 1/2" bolt as well. I can't remember but i feel like its the 10-32 x 1/2" but for the extra 25 cents its better to get both.

No problem. I can't tell you how many trips I made to the hardware store to get my kayak ready. I live in Phoenix and my kayak is in San Diego so I had to just base everything off of pictures. Such a hassle! Anyways, hope that bolt fits... it should.
