Halibut fishing is about as exciting as watching white paint dry; You sit, you wait, you yawn, you pray to the fishing God's.

Way to go Chuck!!!

Thanks to all of the sponsors! I gave thanks to Joey at Squidco. Tipped the boys on the bait barge. Walked away with the beautiful Seeker rod in the raffle. We should all mention/do our business with our sponsors when possible.

I took a photo of CBad Mike at the end of the day. Looks like he forgot to use sunscreen or something...damn ugly too.

another great event put on by you folks! I enjoyed my time once again. I had an awesome fishing day, with over 25+ spotties caught, but could only weigh 2. Same placing as last year? i'll take that consistency.

thanks again for putting up a awesome event!

Chris, it is the Blade 350 QX2, bought it used from a Hobby shop on E Bay. Got it for $300 complete and the Hero 2 for $80 (thanks to Ashmoz bought 2 for $160)

I set it for taking stills every 5 sec. The Phantom is supposedly much steadier for filming video, but this is pretty cool for low buck aerial shots and pretty easy to fly.

Last year we had over 100 entries and are adding a second halibut division this year. We are also adding a great bunch of raffle prizes. Our goal is to raise $5000 for the Southern California chapter of Heroes on the Water.
We anticipate this being the biggest kayak fishing tournament in southern California in 2015.
We aimed for the fences and knocked it into the parking lot

Final total after taking out costs and there were very little thanks to all the generosity, the fish from Catalina Offshore and Coca Cola from Jorge to all companies that donated prizes for the winners and the raffle. We raised $5431. Eric had told me that he would match this number and must have had great confidence in us as he brought the check from Geo Group with him and added it to our total for the day $10,431. This will be a hard number to beat next year Thank you one and all!

Dang... a gopro capable drone for 300! Good deal I'm gonna check that out.

I have a Hubsan X4 that I practice with, but the camera is junk and its super shaky. It's good for stunts and terrorizing my neighbors though.

Have you seen the mariner quadcopter? Fully submersible... I want it so bad. Check out this video the guy straight flips it and makes it go fully submerged.
