PA 12 Trolling Motor setup
Just finished my Watersnake T24 trolling motor project. This should extend my range considerably and save my knees. Its small enough to fit under the seat so when I get to my spot I'll switch out to the peddle drive and save battery for return trip. I shortened the shaft about 11" so it sits nice and low. I built a battery tray that fits behind my seat (50 AH AGM). With the battery in place I have to raise the seat to the upper position. I have always used the seat in the low position and hope I don't lessen stability up high. Hope to try it out this weekend. Still going to mount a plug/recept on the front bulkhead for easy power hookup. Last edited by RedondoSteve; 04-07-2015 at 04:03 PM. |

Hey cell128,
Motor pulls 20 amps at full speed with a 50 Amp Hour battery, should go 2.5 hrs @ full speed. I'm figuring 5 to 6 hrs at trolling speed. A far as actual speed I dont know? Hopefully find out this weekend. My Dragonfly FF will let me know. Got to get it registered first unfortunately, going to stop by AAA. |
