D.
The COD Tsunami is a comparable paddle to the "Wave" A symmetrical nylon blade, aluminum shaft. They sell for $109. Another one to consider is the Werner Skagit, smaller blade face, touring, fiberglass shaft for $135. I am a bit of a drive, but Pt Loma will help ya. ![]() http://www.wernerpaddles.com/paddles/skagit.html

Camanos are $255 in fiberglass and $330 in carbon fiber....a little more than the original "Wave"

What shaft length would be an ideal? or does it depends on the paddler size as well? thanks

Depends on the paddler, the kayak, and your technique. Most guys are paddling a 230 or 240cm

You need to take into account the height and reach of the paddler, plus the particular boat your using it on and your paddling style.
I'm a high angle paddler. On one my yaks, I use a 210cm and a 230cm on the another. I use the 210 on one, to keep tracking straight without having to focus too much on paddling. On the other, I bang my knuckles on the side of the yak with anything shorter. Try before you buy. /bing |
