I've done it with the self mixing injectable type. Just keep in mind that everything needs to be right before hand. the holes need to be the right size for the injector, and the handle needs to be aligned correctly. You can do it with a slow cure, but you will need a monoject type syringe to inject it is, and then tape off the holes until the epoxy is set, so you don't get leakage.

Hard to tell if you can fix without a picture. Not sure what kind of reel seat...split, solid, through touch, etc.
What brand is it? It sounds like something a manufacturer/rod builder would have to repair. FFY ![]() |
