Maiden Voyage

Took the new Thresher 140 for a shake down cruise today in to Mission Bay. Super nice paddling Kayak. I switched back from a peddler and so far so good. Easy to cruise at 3.5 Mph on the GPS, even into a pretty stiff wind. Really like the flex pod setup for the fish Finder. Can't wait to take it off La Jolla. Also thinking that this boat is designed to punch through some surf. Planning a test launch at Torrey Pines or Carlsbad soon.

I love my thresher man, I purposely launched into the waves the other day to see what it can handle. That nose really pops you up and over.

The Thresher is a stud. I love my 140. I've taken it head on through big boat wakes in Long Beach with no issues, thing just floats right over them. I'm going to take mine to La Jolla on Monday to test her in the surf. Best part of the boat is, if you turtle in the surf your rods stay dry.
