Retired?

I got my first pension check from the Motion Picture Industry last May....
And I'm as busy as ever...between the Hobie Fishing Team, Promar Hopnetting, and the Board of Directors of CCA- CAL...I'm as busy as a one legged man at a butt kicking contest!
I'm able to get about 2 days of fishing in a week (weekdays of course...although once the fishing show season is over I'll probably get some more fishing days in.
From the start of the Lobster season till January 1st I was on the water at least 4 times a week...most of that time was in the skiff, since I had it in a slip....best year in the last 10 for lobster in the Sant Monica Bay and Catalina.
My one bit of "old guy" advice...do some finiancial retirement planning and have plenty of activities to do once your FREE!

Start with a weekend at a time now.
There's simply not enough time when you're retired.... If you can't find a weekend or two now, you won't be able to find the time when retired.

Advice from a retired guy.

No retirement planning can prepare you for what's about to happen. This next crash will wipe out the U.S. dollar, retirements will be worth zilch. Know anyone who lived through the great depression? Multiply that by ten at least. Last year alone, over 20 countries made deals bypassing the dollar, we sanctioned Russia for doing it, killed Gaddafi for doing it, just like did to Suddam for doing it. And Obama has essentially started WWIII, but Americans are too stupid to know what's going on, because the news is pure bullshit. Take it from a combat veteran who wasted two tours of my life for nothing.

Those who forget history, are doomed to repeat it.

Guess we didn't learn!

Sorry, the truth sucks. Just saying, that retirement planning better include some food, water, gold, and ammo stockpiling. And LOTS of fishing supplies

Better to be informed and get prepared, than living with your head in the sand.

I've been in many countries where we can't even fathom those type of living conditions. Just because we have it good now, doesn't mean it'll be like that forever.

Gas being cheap right now isn't just a coincidence, it's to hurt the Russians whos economy runs on oil, because they made the biggest oil deal ever with China, bypassing the dollar.

We're damn lucky that we can go fish for fun. Better enjoy it while we can!

Talking

IF I WAS RETIRED I WOULN'T BE SITTING HERE AT F****N WORK, LOOKING AT THE LA JOLLA WEB CAM ON MY COMPUTER. I WOULD BE OUT THERE 2 1/2 MILES DUE WEST OF THE LAUNCH DRINKING SOME BEER WITH TWO LINES IN THE WATER AND HAVING A GOOD TIME, ENJOYING THE VIEW OF THE COAST FROM MY KAYAK!
