Bummer. But, it could've been worse. I just got done working a 16hr shift. I much prefer fishing.

What were you using for bait?

I was using 3" Big hammer color christmas tree (got 1 bite on) and magarita (got 4 bites and a fish on).

I'm surprised the Christmas Tree didn't do better. Then again, Newport is finally acting like it's winter time. This week is how it usually is in Feb.

Yeah, christmas tree is my favorite color for the big hammer. but I figured maybe they want something else other than red since there were so many red crabs.

Having trouble uploading pics from yesterday, they were all over the beach at low tide, and were way inside newport harbor too. Tried using some as bait, but was hard to keep on the hooks.
