I picked up one of the dragonfly's at westmarine. Don't have lowrance reary outback and this transducer is huge compared to elite 4. Can't do a scupper mount, it will scrape the ground. Rather not go back to in hull mount...this is a long shot but anyone have a lowrance ready outback that might be willing to sell? The 15 is the real improvement with the PA style seating but I don't all that cash to spend on a new outback lol... Also for you guys with the HDS 5. How's the transducer on it? I could swap the dragon for the HDS and save more money and maybe still do scupper mount

Tried out the dragonfly yesterday. So far I love it. Screen is amazing even in sunlight. Made a pvc transducer that plugs into a Scotty flush mount. Very sturdy and not too messy. I will wait until one of you with a 2015 outback gets tired and moves on....I will have cash in hand. I prefer dune color lol

So wait. You're gonna buy a top of the line fish finder not knowing anything about fish finders.....then you're gonna goop the memory card slot?!

Buy yourself an elite 4, learn how to use the thing and spend your extra money on titties and beer. Or whatever else.....
...and your going to put it on a kayak where it will get trashed. lol

Glad you went with the DF..

Best advise I hear often is to buy the best thing your able to afford.. Upgrading always cost more in the end besides being frustrating.
