First day out in the new Thresher

I want to start off by saying that I have been lurking the boards for awhile and had yet to upgrade from my Mini-X to anything sea worthy until last weekend thanks to OEX Sunset. Now that I'm officially sailing on a Flint Thresher 140 and loving it, I'm able to make a board worthy post.

Took the Thresher out Monday to paddle the sewer to see what she could do. On my second cast I hooked into a 30" hali. Finally joined the 22"+ crew!

Didn't want to drag her around to the oil islands so I decided to be a gentlemen and let her swim back to the bottom.

Paddled to Chaffe island for no love. That break wall is within my reach but don't know how much gas I'll have after getting there...Need to get my endurance up.

After leaving the island I paddled back in and managed 2 Spotties near where I hooked the hali.

I felt awesome to finally get out of the bay, I look forward to posting more reports!

Thanks guys. Feels good to get out there. I think this weekend I will launch from Cabrillo and work that side of the breakwall for calicos. Hope to have a new post after Sunday.
