That's a really small transducer compared to my HDI. Looks clean.

You can make out the 6 individual sabiki hooks and the weight down to 40', maybe deeper, pretty nice. But I've found that the beam is quite narrow at that shallow. My ducer is mounted near the rear scupper so if I drop in front I can't see it. Compared to my old X-4 Pro though it's amazing.

Looked online at the West Marine deal, it does not include the transducer.

Why transducer is recommended for the dragonfly?
I was looking at ray marine web page..looks like there is a 60,70 and 80. |

The dragonfly is pretty stupid easy!. It comes with the only transducer designed for it, so no need to think about diff. ducers. It's so easy to run, that the computer chip that runs all the settings handles all but the most basic settings for you. Just turn it on and pick what you want to see like chart/sonar/ etc. It is really a different way to use a ff. very fun.
I paid $539. from the GPS store with the gold charts.I wanted to buy locally but saving almost a $100. forced me to take what I could get. Last edited by tsugg; 08-20-2014 at 08:24 AM. |
