I am a real believer in the gulp grubs. Every one of my 30 + lb halibut have come on the gulp. Just in the half hour that I fished the shallows I caught 2 keeper sand bass, a juvi WSB, had about a 10 or 12 pound butt follow it to the yak and of course the subject of this post

San Onofre

I fished La Jolla the same day and it was flat; good call heading up to the power plant!

Very nice flattie. Need to dig out my neglected gulp grubs and give them a try. Good thing you caught it nearshore and didn't paddle all those miles with that extra weight.
