All it takes is one....of the right bait
Hit the launch at 12:30, amazing conditions and head out to make bait. Of course all the bait is inside the boundary so I head out further along the kelp. Manage to catch about 8 Spanish and one Greenie in an hour. So I paddle out with a Spanish on, no luck with trolling it. So I have one Greenie and on it goes....20 mins later I hear that most beautiful of sounds....zzzzzzzzzzz 12 minute fight and a nice gaff. Thanks to Jim for the on the water shot. She weighed in just under 20lbs. Is now on ice for a hamachi feast on Sunday. I really love this way of fishing. One good fish on the yak to me equals limits on a sport boat |

There is nothing like when the eveything comes together. The girls take the bait, the fish take the bait, and you come out a winner or both ends!
