Thanks guys.

Yeah I would never take my daughter on the kayak when going btb or even fishing anywhere.

Anyway I knew I wasn't going to launch at cl but I was curious. As soon as I saw the surf, I didn't even get out of the car lol

You'll get the conventional casting thing down with practice. Doesn't hurt to take your spinning rig with you too, if that's what your comfortable with. Make sure you have the appropriate safety gear. Welcome to the site and have fun out there.

Yes being safe is my priority. Is there any sort of current that can take take you out faster than you can paddle in?
