I saw your post on the NWKA forum. You think you moved north of LJ, I got you beat by a couple thousand miles. No yellowtail around here, but the albacore, after eating their way up here from Baja, can be had within ten miles of the shoreline and forty pounders are not uncommon.
The ocean here is cold and windy with some big waves at times. Sometimes all you get are small to medium sized rockfish with an occasional bigger ling cod, not quite the experience of a glassy summer day at The Cove. The twenty pound salmon and steelhead make up for it though.
