Ive done a trip from DP to san O and ive fished San O a few times the swell there can be pretty nasty but its highly rewarding at times.

I love San O always hook up to something nice out there...but yea it can get nasty if the weather isn't with you..

Careful with the non-yakkers launching early because it will be low tide at 6:45. That will make the reefs and rocks more dangerous even if there is little surf.

I don't think anyone will be using the tandem anyway the water is still cold this time of year

Last year I took some newbs and the swell was huge but one of my friends said he was still down so I took him out it was great fun he got past the beakers fairly quick but rolled in the swell it was awesome. I helped him get back on the kayak...but thanks I always keep an eye out for my friends and tech them with a crash course on the beach and make them wear their pfd

Not a keeper but still fun caught it on my bait rod so it was lite tackle... and the weather was amazing I even got in the tandem with friends for the second part of the day surf the waves...

Having dealt with them in the past it would really surprisee if they didn't hook you up with a new one ore at least a free repair
