Storing a PA - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

So I just picked up a PA12 and was wondering how you other PA owners store them. Upside down, on it's side, on the floor, on saddles? Had an Outback and that was upside down. Currently on a trailer but will probably get rid of the trailer 'cause I don't really need it. Already have a kayak rack due to also having a tandem but was wondering the best way. Thanks for any input.

Two big bags of perlite, similar to bean bag.

I have limited space in my garage so I store my PA 14 on it's side hanging from two straps connected to the wall and lift it about a foot off the floor with the bottom against a carpet attached to the wall. Works great and is out of the way.

Right side up. The thing I like about the pool noodles is the even weight distribution. You don't get any areas that could potentially warp under its heavy weight.

When I first purchased my PA I thought I was going to be able to get away with just storing on the garage floor. Wellllllll, about a week later I got tired of moving it around so I decided to setup a hoist/winch system.

I purchased all of the parts at Home Deport, if I recall I paid under $100 for everything. None of the items that I purchased have a test load of less than 155lbs.

I forgot to add that I tested the load of each strap(bow & stern) with a spring scale. I setup the scale, lifted the kayak off the floor and the total weight measured roughly 60lbs per strap.

You have been the first to openenly admit what could go wrong when strapped or tethered to the yak upside down in surf . B e good JORGE .

I keep mine on a raised twin bed frame about two feet off the ground. the frame has wheels I can roll it around the garage if I need to. I have plywood next to the wheels to keep the peddle, seat, bait tank to keep the weight down so the plastic does not deform. I roll it right next to my truck and slight it on to the truck bed.

2 saw horses and 2 carpeted 2x6's. Slides right out of my truck onto the stand. no lifting and about 50 bucks and 30 minutes to build.
