Tough choice, but I think I need to go with the thresher I caught in January. I was dropping down a B&W 6X trying to find one of the huge yellows that were rumored when I felt a very sharp thwack! I immediately knew it was a thresher tail whack. I stopped the iron, let it sit for a second, the shark came back and it was on! In gear, line peeling off, the thresher exploded out of the water. An hour later, Pat took this awesome picture for me.
I estimated about 90 lbs. ![]() |
