I know what you mean, I had gotten some Thule used saddles which worked great over just turning my X Factor over on it's deck straight on the roof rack of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Than I bought a used Malibu X13 for use by family members or when I want something a little faster but less stable. When I measured the roof rack there was no way to fit both on the roof because of the combined width. So I broke down and purchased from OEX a Thule Port A Haul Pro it was $200 but this model has a folding long arm so it lays flat when not carrying a Yak. I works great I put the X Factor on the saddles and the X13 next to it on it's side on the Port A Haul. $200 was more than I was looking to spend but it works Sooo Goood! Good Luck Josh.
