8-18 MAY, Las Encantadas

The BAJA EXPRESS rides again.

Leaving 6 am on the 8th of May. Myself and Steve, aka eod from Utah will be going to Las Encantadas. This trip will be limited to 6 people. If you sign up for this trip and back out it means someone else will not be able to go. I will take one backup name incase someone backs out at the last minute. You MUST post on this thread if you are going. I will take the FIRST 4 to confirm, plus 1 standby.

We learned that we generate a lot of trash, so you will need to bring your own silverware, plate, bowl and drinking glass or cup. We also wasted food on the last trip so we will try doing the meals a little differently. I will PM to those involved.

Because of my schedule this will be the LAST Las Encantadas trip until after the 4th of July, and by then it will be getting HOT!!!!!
Sorry, this should have been posted under general, please move, thank you.

Cool Bob! Glad to see your going back soon! Limiting the trip seems like the right thing to do. Extra food, trash, water, and problems...

Anybody who is considering going down there, RESPECT the conditions or be OWNED! There is nobody down there to save you if you get into really big trouble. Even If somebody knows you are in trouble, there's not much anybody can do to save you if the conditions turn south, and your around the corner!

That being said, it's an awesome trip! Bob and rob are both awesome guys for allowing people to come down there and enjoy their little bit of paradise.

I sure wish there was some magic formula for planning the food for these kinds of trips. I have never taken a Baja trip without having lots of leftovers. Rather than wasting I try to find some locals to give the excess food to but unless you plan down the the number of spoons full of each and every meal, I can't figure out how to plan any better. Even with the best plan, the fishing some times gets in the way and I end up skipping a meal or having a Vitamin water or and granola bar instead of what was on the menu.

I'll be down in Bahia Gonzaga with with my son on the 12 th for a week or so. I'm sure we'll pop in and say hey one of the windy afternoons.

Don't know who Steve is but son's name is Troy, AKA Zed on BWE.

We'll see you during the week I'm sure.

WOW, Sven that will mean that you have perfect attendance. Ross, I think Sven wants to fish a couple of days with you and your son Troy. The Baja Express rides again, anyone else, there is still room.

Not set in stone yet but thinking 11-12 to 19 July. Coming back or a Saturday is much quicker than Sunday afternoons. One week trip, again max of 6 plus me. If you sign up and cancel it means someone else cannot attend. First 6 plus one on standby. Each person coming on this trip will be responsible for one dinner for the whole crew. So food for 7 for one dinner. We will talk about breakfasts and lunches as we get closer. Food for this trip should cost each of us about $80.00. My fuel on the last trip was $220, take a friend and save on gas.
