It's been a long time, but I paddled blythe to Yuma over a few days. The small back bays were the best. We were throwing rabbit hair streamers (white) and artificial's for decent size bass. Huge cats on the bait and wait. On our trip, sunscreen and lipbalm were worth their weight in gold!
