Thats a bit pricy for a used PA... I paid less before tax for a new one.

Well ya never know if the guy will negotiate at all and I was just using the online store price that hit's just shy of $3200 with the tax now. I'm sure if he has some time to keep looking someone will want a PA-14 or need to sell for other reasons.

Deals are out there, after lurking on this site and searching C/L I got my 2013 PA-14 for $2275.

I think I paid $2800 tax included for a new 2013 PA12 so based your negotiating on that. I have half a dozen friends who bought new hobies and I dont think any of them paid full retail. Especially during the winter when business is slow.

I don't think it matters because I've ask many hobie owners who purchase from various local shops; 10% off appears to be standard. The shops does count on you buying $500-1000 worth of accessories which probably gets better margin.
