I did exactly what John is talking about a few months back, the front handle on my Outback was hanging on by a thread or two. After talking to Roby he gave me the DIY idea and let me tell you, it was extremely easy to do. I have everything that I needed so it cost me nothing to make.

Here's what I used

3/4" PVC
old hoop net rope
hacksaw
drill

that was it............Easy Peasy Japanesey
