Food drive meet-up at Tidelands
It was fun seeing Bob, Dave and his son and Steve his buddy. Sorry must have a mental block on his name. Windy, spritzy, choppy with a slow bite. Bob caught a decent Hali @ 17"-18" that was paper thin! I've never seen a 'but that was as thin as a starry flounder. Dave caught a couple, his son got the skunk. Steve an friend each caught two each and I caught 8. Dogs, Brats, chips and BS after landing. Thanks for the donations guys! They will be delivered this week to help out those in need. |

Check out this Ling Dinger that Mako Bob made up for me. Saving it for Drakes event.
Should be fun to drop down on some fish. |

Thanks for putting this on Patrick. Had a good time and got to meet some good people. Just didn't meet too many fish, but I'll take the blame for that.

It's true...Thanks!
My Buddy and I happened on this event. We had no idea about the food drive or we would have brought donations. If there's still a chance to donate, let me know.
I'll have to say that everything everyone says about how friendly kayak fisherman is true. Met Mako Bob first and then MrPatrick. I'd like to give an extra Thanks to Patrick for all the goodies and the offer of a bite to eat. We were complete strangers and I had a great time talking with you guys! I'll keep paying attention to this site. The hot dogs and hamburgers are on me next time! Steve PS the two fish took 5+hours to get, but it beats taking home the skunk! |
