I am not planning to test the shark shield on Saturday....I learned enough from your story to know wait a week or 2...

I carry a 6' tapered gaff with a 3" SS hook protected by a tube cover, he get's too close to me and I can 'spear' him in the nose with the bend of the gaff hook (if I'm not mistaken that's a sensitive part of the body) just like giving him a bloody nose!
