Ha Ha..... Now that's a blast from the past. Back from the day when everyone was still gluing their transducers inside their hulls. There were a few guys that did them as well but I think Hunter was the first to try it after I came up with the idea. Some guys really gave me shit for that setup saying it wasn't necessary, it would fail, or wouldn't give any kind of advantage, but in hindsight I think now pretty much everyone agrees that there is huge advantage in having the transducer in the water instead of in the hull. My only worry back then was that it wouldn't hold up over time but I did several of my yaks that way they all still work perfect, none of them leaked, and all the transducers are still working fine. |

i stumbled across post
it was well done . might negate from resale , hard to say . needless to say , at the time , this was a jump into the future . i just bought a hobie with lowrance ready . it was because thinking like yours that brought this into production .
