Patrick seems like a good guy to PM since he put the Bass and Brew together.

Prescott 19
You might just choose the date sooner than later so we can set it in our calendars. I'm in for volunteering the day of the event if needed.
From my most humble tidal observations...Oct 5,6,19 & 20 might be best for fishing. Early birds will find success! Desirable places might have: Nearby and plenty of parking, room for people and yaks, restroom, spigot/shower (rinse gear)... Mariner's Basin? As long as we're early, parking will work. Glorietta Bay? Great fishing but will you lose the LA/OC homies due to the drive? Shelter Island- has everything except water rinse(?)... Jim

Call it "First Responders Tournament" to benefit the Arizona 19. If this does become an annual event, it can keep the same name but help different individuals or groups. We've done this with Bass and Brew 2013/2014. The charity will change but the name doesn't change. Make yourself a "Brand", one that people will remember and identify with.
You have a great cause here, be sure to get with the local fire houses and let them know what you/we are doing. Tell them we can set some of them up on kayaks to fish. You can have people bid to to fish with a responder. You can have people sponsor you on a per fish basis . 50 cents or a dollar per fish CPR'd like they do on the walks per mile walked. We may do this for BNB 2014. |

Not sure about Mariner Basin layout but Ski Beach launch ramp is where a lot of kayak tournaments are held. Weigh boat can launch from there as well. Nice bathrooms, grassy area, easy launch for kayaks, plenty of parking. More centrally located in the bay also.

Our condolences T. Take care of business. I'm sure there will still be a good turnout for the tourney whenever it takes place because it's for such a good cause.
