Internal bait tank, so much nicer

I just finished the shake down run on my new internal bait tank/live well. No leaks and the pump self primed with no problems. Having the bulk of the tank volume below the water line is so much nicer. Also, no more drag from an external pump or bait tube. The intake and overflow drain outlet are near the skeg and rudder.

I'm running it on a timer for a net flow rate that equals about 10 tank volumes per hour.

I borrowed design concepts from cioppino and Angler's Yak Shack

Now I have to get out of the office and back on the water.

Nice work. Did you have to add that extra hatch to facilitate the tank installation, or is it just for extra storage?

I needed it for access. The existing, rearmost hatch only contains the rudder hardware (no access to the hull).

I looked at the possibilities for the kingfisher and turned them down due to the inability to install a live well. It looks like you not only over came them but did it with style and workmanship... Very nice job!

Now... Bring on the big surf!!
