A lot of stuff there, but the top 2 I can think of are: 1) An Outback, along with any other high railed kayak, can be very difficult to remount and should be practiced on. 2) Swimming back to your yak should not be done freestyle or doggy style fully clothed. Keeping your head, and lifting your arms out of the water wastes too much energy. Lay back and do the back paddle you probably learned as a kid (arms out to the sides and push back).
