Oceanside afternoon bite

So today is my last day of vacation. So I wanted to head out, rain or shine. No phone and no GoPro just the radio. Went to pick up some bait at the barge two kids where there while the seal plays with there line. I load up and head for the hotel rocks. First hook up of the day 20'' spottie what a great way to start out this adventure. I wanted to drift a new spot and what do you know 4 halls all short but a lot of action. Seeing the rain was coming my way and the waves picking up I was drifting back slowly back into pendleton. As two ladies on there kayak pass me my rod gets bent and the kayak starts being towed like it was nothing as the other rod gets bent. Trying to reel the other rod in while being towed around was lesson learn. What do you know another small hail. On the other rod feeling the head shake I was for sure it was a big halibut. After being towed for an hour it started getting tired. I pull it up and its a freaking bat ray. Other then that Love todays action.

Sweet spotty. Sorry for the mud marlin though, those things suck.
