La Jolla Noob Question
When you all launch from avenida de la playa, do you wheel your kayaks to the beach and carry the cart back to your vehicle and leave the kayak unattended? Or do you drop the kayak off on the beach and go park your vehicle? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! |

On my first La Jolla trip I wheeled my Stealth 12 to and from my car to the beach. Wheeling it in the morning with all the gear and no people was relatively easy

I had a few weird stares when I drove my VW Golf out on the sand to unload and load. In the morning I unloaded and then drove off to park. In the afternoon I did ask another BWE yaker that had landed about the same time as me to keep an eye on my gear while I went and got my car. Then again, it's La Jolla, not Carson, or Long Beach lol.

I carted mine on sunday. Only had to go a block and I got there at 6:00. If you want to drop it off and park, I would try and set up a meeting with someone you trust and take turns parking cars.

I pull on on the beach and drop off my yak. The earlier the better. If you are worried about leaving the yak unattended, then make sure it is in view of the webcam as there is always someone watching. I be there early tomorrow |
