I'm sure he was freaking out. I'm wondering if he was sitting of paddling, either way from below I'm sure that Kayak looked like a nice meal. However once the shark got a taste of the plastic, that's why he swam off. Nothing tasty there, no blood, flesh, or Unibutter.

Fishing with buddies, does not always gurantee your safety in this sport. But at least your fishing buddy will be able to tell the family what happened.
