HH 06-10-13 Sunday

After working on the Jeep, realized there was still time for some late
morning fun so we put in at HH.

I think they must have dredged here at the beginning of the year
because the bottom seems different than before.

Got two kinds of spots in a row: a spotted bay bass, followed by a
Spotfin Croaker, both on the grey Storm Shad.

After that it was just small sand bass and small halibut.

I haven't figured out how to keep the dog fur out of the level wind
mechanism yet and I really don't want to switch to a spinning reel.
So, I spent about 1/2 hour trying to clear it before calling it a day.

Looks like your partner isn't a huge fan of spots, but he totally doesn't like the croaker!

It's the eyes on the Spotfin that dogs key into. Beady, snake-like vs the spottie.

I also noticed that the bottom was cleaner; although eel grass is growing quickly...

Actually, it is a well known fact that dogs and spot fin croaker have great animosity for each other. Google it. Nice HH spot BTW.
