I have 4500 and 6500 Baitrunners and have used them on Cattle Boats often on everything from Calicos to Yellowtail and they've always worked great. I'm trying to teach myself how to cast better with baitcasting now.

I love the versatility a baitrunner gives to a spinning reel. Works like a clicker on a conventional with similar adjustability to line tension. Just wish the click would be louder. The ones I've used are relatively quiet. I've used shimano and okuma. Quality is reflected in the price, but the okuma is a great bang for the buck. The penn spinfisher baitrunner looks great- waterproof drag and full metal body for reasonable price.

Because I can't cast a conventional worth shit. I have a baitrunner 8000 the thing is a beast. I yanked up a 6 ft thresher like 3 days after I got it with ease. Just didn't know how to kill the dam thing but the reel is awesome!
