So I scored here.

Here's the thing.. I got one that wasn't as deep as the one described by Raskal above. Mine is only 3.25" deep, and if you look at the pic, there's only 1 item in the box, the liquid bottle w/ bait tong. No box/wallet.. on the pic. But, mine had the small box also. I didn't realize this until I got home. The price is marked $22.99 but red tag clearance is $12.96

BUT.. it rang up at $6.48 SALE

They have 2 more of these thinner boxes, marked the same $12.96 Clearance. I'm not sure if those have the extra box, or if mine was an error. (mine doesn't match the pic on the front)

NEXT to this, they had the bigger Plano box, with both items the bottle+tongs, and the small wallet box. But, it didn't seem to have a red clearance sticker. They had 3 of these deeper (4.75") boxes in stock. I bet these will ring up at $6.XX like the way you guys describe. I might get the bigger one tomorrow as a dry storage box, if it rings up that cheap.

Go get 'em!!
-Jay

Jay mine rang up as $29.9# so they had to manually adjust the price based on what was marked. I wonder if their system was up to date that it would have ranged up lower. Or maybe everyone who got the lower price got the smaller version as well. No complains I'm still happy with the purchase. I'm thinking about using it to hold some Lithuania ion batteries in the near future.

oh.. just noticed I didn't mention the store.

I was at the Long Beach Sports Chalet off Carson & 605.

Kev.. yeah, that bigger box looks like it could easily hold a battery, maybe even two!? Good idea.. way cheaper than a Pelican battery box.

Checked Temecula store and came up $29.99 for bigger box . Told them about deal at others to no avail. Didn't try smaller one but didn't look to have 2 pieces inside...oh well. May try couple other stores on my travels this week.

Thanks for the info for the wallet. I took the sticker off, so I can't see if it was supposed to have one.

I will go back to where I bought it. There was very helpful clerk there when I got it. He pointed out to me the box and the sale.

It's not what I thought, and described earlier. What they are calling a "wallet" is just a small waterproof box. The lure wallet I was thinking about looks kind of like those CD sleeve wallets, with pages you can flip. Each page is a sleeve, which can hold a lure, or a leader, or a sabiki. They are sold at shows like Fred Hall all the time. Anyways, this Plano system is basically just a small waterproof box in a bigger box. Even the smaller box that only contains the liquid bottle and tongs seems like an ok deal at $7.

Sports chalet in HB on beach has one left at $6.48. Also one of the large boxes, looked like the 24.99 tag had an X through it, didn't check the price at the register.

Thanks for the tip!!!
