Easter Sunday Vail Lake
The bass bite was wide open. I was split shotting plastics and picked up a couple dozen LMB from 1 to 3 lbs. Also managed to finally find one of the epic crappie that this lake holds. Honestly, the crappie here are phenomenal!!! I also managed two rather beastly catfish in the 6 to 8 lb range. Interesting that the two catfish ate the same plastics I was catching the bass and crappie on. Love that place!! |

Yep. That's where I had lunch and kicked back for a while. Interestingly, both the catfish I caught were near the mouth of this cove.

Cost is $25. The guy that runs the desk will try and hit you for $30 but tell him your a single on a Kayak not a tandem and he'll charge you $25.

Are you allowed to keep the crappie or catfish? someone told me that it was catch and release, but I don't remember the specifics.

I typically only eat saltwater fish so I'm not sure. I don't think that it's C&R only though.
