tie bungie cord through the hole. grab a bunch of stringers and use the bungee hooks to attach to your kayak. I think they sell these at HD for $9 |

I like to grab a stringer and wrap it around one of my rocket launchers. When it's time to go, pull out the launcher and your off. Keeps the boat pointed the right way too.

I use an old surf leash, bunch up a string and velco the leash around the kelp lile you would your ankle. And of course tie the other end to the yak so that you're inline with the current....
