G Loomis Gl2 BBR 964C or the 904C (8' or 7'6"). Light enough to have fun with bass, and a blast to land bigger critters on. So far, my biggest are a 150ish BSB, a 36lb YT, a 51lb WSB and a 45lb Halibut on that rod. They are about the top of your limit, but they meet your requirements. Not familiar with your reel, but I use mine with Calcutta 400 size reels.

Check out the turners Californian series, I have a few of those myself, they seem to be decent rods for the money.

I can definitely reccomend the calstar 800xl or 800L or M...but those are out of your price range. Strong enough for bigger fish and light enough for bass and or rockfish, excellent rod.
