Favorite rod and reel setup - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Since I've yet to get a yellow. Need to concentrate on them this year. Mine would be my Compre Walleye trolling rod paired with a Abu C3. Killer rockfish setup. Great as a Lucanus or as a deep water dropshot combo. TC4 rod, soft tip and good backbone.

You Able boys are killin me. Now those perty things will empty a wallet purdy quick. I know, I have 3, along with some other brands that I wont mention, since you set the bar so darn high.

Have you ever seen the price of a FIN-NOR reel? The Billy Pates' & Tibors' are more expensive!

The secret is to have been a fly fisherman for over 35 years & make some influential contacts!

I own over 25 Abel's (some one of a kind collectibles). I've never paid retail, but it still hasn't been cheap!!! But I also have never had one fail on me either!!!
Also keep an occasional eye out on eBay for liquidation auctions!
