if it CAN break it WILL.
Think flush mount or very durable. No matter how much you baby your yak, they can go through a lot of abuse on the water and things fail at the worst possible moment. Waterproof means that it takes a little longer before it fails. Welcome to the mad house. ![]() |

I love that line. Waterproof means it takes longer to fail. He's speaking the trooth. If you don't want to lose it, strap it down, if you don't want it getting wet, put it in a water tight case. As others have said, welcome to the addiction and have fun, but also be safe and always wear a PFD.
