I should have stayed in bed. Took me 1 1/2 hours to find my truck keys. 35 minutes longer then usual to get to launch because of traffic. 3rd drop of dropper loop I caught a seal that in the process of trying to remove hook wore me out for 20 minutes. Slow fishing for me all day. Water turned into washing machine in afternoon.

Yeah, I saw you out there and saw you hooked up. Then I saw he reared his little dog like head! I was like, "oh no!". As for me, I fished with Jeff aka "fearlessfiasco". It was his first time too. Neil gave us our lolipops. Couldn't be more proud! My first launch was interesting but I made it out.

While launching, I was in the surf waiting for the right time to go and was knocked over by a little white wash and fell down! Jeff, big ol bear of a guy, plucked me out of the water like the wet rag doll that I was!

He made it out like he was a pro! So we get out there and we find you guys and a few private boats (eerie going over that canyon for the first time!). I could not catch one piece of bait, nor did I see any. So I yoyo'd, and yoyo'd, and yoyo'd, and then I yoyo'd some more. Nothing, but hey, you'll have that...

We went to the kelp for a couple bites on the swim baits, but we could'nt make em stick. So we decide to not beat a dead horse, and go in. So we sat just outside the surf line and watched. I decided whend the little kid in his red kayak made it in no prob, so could I. So we went... it looked small anyway...

So we commit and GO! Jeff makes it in just fine and so did I... untill... I didn't. In about a foot of water, after making it all the way through, my mirage drive catches the sand, sideways goes my yak, and over goes the fisherman! At least I didn't lose anything and Jeff and Neil were there to once again, pluck me from the treacherous seas!

I HAD A GREAT TIME! Thanks to my new friend Jeff and thanks to Neil for the lollipops!

Janine
