This is a 5 Watt Floating, waterproof VHF. Mine worked great at first, then I had trouble with corrosion between the battery and radio. Then, the charger didn't charge the battery to 100%. I found the Standard Horizon (Yasue) Warranty repair factory located in Cypress (North of Seal Beach) and paid them a visit. They were very helpful and replaced all corroded parts on both my radios and repaired the issue with the charger. Now the radios work like brand new ones. Did I say they were very helpful?
Lesson Learned: Make sure you rinse between the battery and radio after saltwater use and air dry. |

I've have one for about 9 months. Had to retrieve it once after dropping it overboard, and It's Survived 2 yard sales. I also always rinse it first thing, with my reels. No corrosion.
