After years and years of making kayaks...you would think that all the kayak manufactures would THINK to put extra protection under the kayak were it drags.

Lots of room for improvment still needs to come.

has anyone ever worn a hole in the yak by years of dragging in and out of the water?

My outback is ugly down under (scratched to hell). Not sure I should be worried or not.

My used prowler 13 has a little 21/2 inch segment in the back replaced because of that the old owner told me. But he said the wheels broke so he dragged it across the asphalt a few times which was not a long way maybe 10 feet cause he lived right behind newport harbor. Its all good now though and the repair looks like the original. I can post pics if you want.
