Call the local pawn shops

If you can, put up some flyers in the local tackle stores.

If I see something like these at a local swap meet are there any identifying numbers or markings on them to call them out on ?
Wild guess do you think they knew what they wanted or was it opportunity only?
I'll watch the east county swap meets.

My guess is that is was an opportunist and if so, should increase the chance of going out to pawn or CL. Fingers crossed.
